BETWEEN WORD and IMAGE: A Writing Event
The aim of this project is to disrupt various traditional systems of negotiation and power—between the viewer and the maker, the literate and the illiterate, the sign and what it signifies. For this event, I invited the audience to write/draw sitting at a table with two tiers so that they could not see the marks they were making. This was a way to unsettle the process of reading and writing.
